Marketing Agency Acquires Martinez-Based Digital Firm

Alison South Marketing Group, an agency specializing in public relations, branding, referrals, social media, events and websites, has acquired Martinez-based On the Level Digital, according to a press release from the marketing agency.

“The world of digital marketing is growing, and we are excited to grow along with it,” said Mike Thomas, CEO of Alison South. “This is a great opportunity for us to be able to offer more digital services to existing and new clients.”

As part of the acquisition and growth plan, Alison South will gain two digital experts while expanding its in-house digital offerings.

Alison South Marketing Group will offer digital packages that include search engine optimization (SEO), pay-per-click advertising, retargeting and display ads, geofencing and more.

John Pope, owner of On the Level Digital, will join Alison South as the director of SEO and pay-per-click.

“I have been staying on top of the constant Google algorithm updates for my clients successfully for the last seven years,” Pope said. “And I plan on staying the course and providing the best SEO service in Augusta for our clients.”

Trey Blanton will join Alison South as the vice president of digital marketing. Blanton began his digital marketing career in Charlotte, N.C., selling SEO, pay-per-click, social media and more. He expanded his digital media knowledge as a digital sales manager at Time Warner before joining Meredith Corp. at WHNS-TV in Greenville, S.C.

“While I was there, I expanded on my digital media knowledge,” Blanton said. “Through the process, I brought national level scale and control of digital ad buying to local advertisers, and I look forward to offering these services as part of the Alison South family.”

Alison South employs 30 people in three offices in Aiken, S.C., Augusta and Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
