Frozen Custard Shop to Hold Grand Opening This Weekend
The Meadows Original Frozen Custard in Grovetown, which opened earlier this summer, will hold its grand opening and ribbon-cutting on Saturday, Aug. 3. During the event, customers will receive a free small frozen custard.
The area’s first location of the Pennsylvania-based frozen custard franchise is located at 715 Gateway Center Blvd.
The 1,500-square-foot shop will seat around 32 people and offers sit-down, drive-thru and walk-up options. The shop will also serve coffee from Marietta-based coffee shop Cool Beans Coffee.
The Meadows will be open 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The Meadows Original Frozen Custard got its start in the summer of 1950 when J.V., Richard, and Delbert Meadows opened a small custard stand in Duncansville, PA. Now considered a tourist attraction and featured on The Travel Channel’s “Taste of America,” the Duncansville location is still in operation and owned by the Meadows family.
