Cookie Dough Shop to Open in Evans
Alumni Cookie Dough, a dessert shop based on a trend that has become widely popular throughout the country, opened its second location in Evans last week, according to a report from The Augusta Chronicle.
Alumni Cookie Dough’s first shop opened in Athens in January and instantly became popular. Owners Jennifer and Mike Dollander now plan to open another location of the shop by Sept. 1. It will be located in Evans’ Towne Park Lane.
The Athens shop prepares cookie dough fresh each day, and the Evans location will do the same.
The dough’s flour is heated to 165 degrees, killing bacteria, although it does still contain egg.
Flavors will include brownie, cookie dough, snickerdoodle, red velvet and chocolate chip. There are also gluten-free and vegan options.
“Almost everyone eats cookie dough anyway and now you can do it safely,” Jennifer said.
