Local business incubator will hold an information session next week for its upcoming Code Boot Camp, which gives people an opportunity to learn the skills necessary to be a full stack web developer.

On November 7, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., the session will inform attendees how the boot camp works, what it involves and how it puts attendees on the path to a career in web development. Details regarding the course, certification and financial aid will all be provided. The program’s instructor, Schuster Braun, will cover the curriculum and what applicants can expect from each project.

Students will learn HTML, Javascript, PHP, MySQL/MariaDB and Linux (Ubuntu and Cloud Hosting).

“While attending the Code Boot Camp, many influencers guided and coached we future developers along the way,” said Nicole Floyd, a recent graduate of Code Boot Camp. “We had a great instructor, the resources of Augusta Technical College available to us, and experts in the industry as guest speakers.”

Schuster, who served in the Navy for 6 years, has experience as a full-time web developer and IT director.

Representatives from Augusta Tech will also be available at the session to discuss certification and transcript information, and Work Source Georgia will be present to explain financial aid opportunities.

The information session will be held at the Georgia Cyber Center, 100 Grace Hopper Ln, Ste. 3700. More information regarding the boot camp as well as the application process can be found here.
