TaxSlayer Announces Expansion into Downtown Augusta
TaxSlayer announced its purchase of a 40,000 square foot building at 945 Broad Street in Downtown Augusta on Monday. The building will be the company’s headquarters and Innovation and Technology Campus.
Buzz on Biz first reported the purchase in June. TaxSlayer bought the building from the Family Y of Greater Augusta for $2 million. The YMCA building had been built in 1923.
TaxSlayer President and CEO Brian Rhodes said that the building is a “testament to the company’s rapid growth”, and that TaxSlayer is ready to become a part of the technology boom in Augusta.
“The building design will be focused on inspiring our product, marketing, and customer experience teams to create breakthrough new services and attract top talent to the city, which is another reason why we’re excited to be part of Augusta’s technology boom,” Rhodes said.
TaxSlayer’s downtown campus will house the company’s senior leadership, product, technology and marketing teams. Customer service teams will take over the company’s building in Evans.
In total, Taxslayer will be able to accommodate 600 employees across the Augusta metro area.
