Armando’s Closes In Evans
Armando’s Pizza and Italian Restaurant suddenly closed over the holiday weekend after several years in the Riverwood Plantation Shopping Center.
Despite a sign posted on the door stated, “closed for July 4th holiday week,” a manager at the Grovetown location confirmed the Evans restaurant is permanently closed.
Some regulars of the restaurant and residents of the upscale Evans neighborhood commented on their neighborhood Next Door app that this came by surprise.
“They closed down for good. Didn’t tell his staff or anyone. We’re regulars up there and he didn’t say anything to us either. Loaded tvs and patio furniture today,” said Missi Neskorik from the neighborhood.
The Grovetown location remains open.
Armando’s was a sit-down family restaurant, but faced recent competition from Marco’s Pizza opening a half mile away in the TPS Shopping Center in Evans and word that a new Papa John’s pizzeria was opening in the same shopping center this fall.
