Seminar Focuses on Producing a Kaizen Event
Kaizen is a Japanese term that literally means “change for better.” In lean manufacturing, a Kaizen event is a process of finding and solving problems by creating a team of individuals to work intensively on the problem over a short period of time.
How to Run a Successful Kaizen Event will be the topic of a seminar on Wednesday, 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Enterprise Mill Event Center.
Sam Darwin, Georgia Manufacturing Extension Partnership manager, is the speaker. He will discuss the basics of a Kaizen event and then participate in a hands-on demonstration to illustrate how holding kaizen events can help businesses solve problems.
Augusta Technical College, Columbia County Development Authority and Richmond County Development Authority are partners in the presentation.
Lunch is included in the $15 registration. To register, visit tinyurl.com/h94exs5.
