Businesses Can Get Boost From GrowSmart Class
Running a small business is hard work. Many don’t make past two years; of those who do, about half fail before five years.
To give businesses a boost and guidance, the UGA Small Business Development Center is once again offering its GrowSmart Program. The program has already helped many businesses throughout Georgia and in the Augusta area.
Rebecca Kruckow, Program Coordinator, said that SBDC GrowSmart is a program for owners and senior managers, whether in business for two years or 20 years.
“Many small business owners are so busy working in the business, they neglect to work on it,” she said.
Kruckow said that Georgia is given an “A” for small business friendliness and is among the top 10 states in the United States for starting a small business.
“SBDC GrowSmart is an excellent example of programming that promotes successful small business growth and networking opportunities among established business owners,” she said. “This kind of opportunity to learn and grow contributes to Georgia receiving a top 10 ranking.”
