Long-Range Workforce Needs Subject of Chamber Executive Luncheon

The CSRA’s long-range workforce needs will be the topic of the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Luncheon at 11:30 Thursday, June 4, at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion.

“Workforce Demand for the Future” will explore the findings of a comprehensive workforce study conducted by the Savannah River Site Community Reuse Organization (SRSCRO) along with TIP Strategies. The study covered the five county SRSCRO Region of Georgia and South Carolina – Aiken, Allendale, Barnwell, Columbia and Richmond.

Rick McLeod, Executive Director of SRSCRO, Mindy Mets, NWI Programming Manager for SRSCRO, Robbie Bennett, Executive Director of the Development Authority of Columbia County and Dr. Sandra Carraway, Superintendent of Columbia County Schools will speak at the Executive Luncheon

Topics will include how many job openings are projected in the next five years, what is driving this growth, where will the workforce come from, what are the regional workforce challenges and what can be done about them.
