GRU Business School Takes Part in Super Bowl

January 30, 2015|

On Sunday, the Georgia Regents University Jaguars have a chance to win the Super Bowl – sort of.

Millions of viewers will be watching Super Bowl XLIX this Sunday for not only the game, but for the commercials. This year, GRU is getting in on the action by being one of two institutions to have a student-produced commercial featured during the program.

GRU’s commercial is a part of a contest sponsored by WAGT-NBC 26 and Georgia Bank & Trust Company in which local business colleges produced videos highlighting their schools.

“I am very proud of the hard work of our students put in for this competition,” said Dr. Marsha Loda, Associate Professor of Marketing in GRU’s Hull College of Business. “In such a short amount of time, they worked together to create their concept and bring that idea to life on film.”

Beginning at 10 p.m. on Feb. 1 and ending on Feb. 4, fans will be able to vote for their favorite commercial – including GRU’s – as many times as they want at nbc26.tv/challenge.
