Ivy Falls Shopping Center EXPANDING!
The buzz around Ivy Falls off Columbia Road in Grovetown is about its retail shopping center extending with four new businesses opening in the next few weeks. The drive from Appling, Lewistown Rd, Greenbrier area, and Grovetown city limits to the shopping center in southern Columbia County is only nine miles — the county continues to grow as the landscape becomes dotted with subdivisions and other site prep work as evidence that more is to come. There are some predictions that Harlem and Grovetown may someday be joined at their city limit signs, a fitting marriage for the only two municipalities known as fast growing in Columbia County.
The diversity of businesses operating in the Ivy Falls Shopping Center represent a suburbia way of life– that is occurring within walking distance of residential developments allowing independence for those who choose not to drive. Although studies show area residents will more than likely use their cars to commute to work, the promise of being able to walk to shop, eat out or do errands is a significant selling point for new housing. Besides proximity to restaurants and shopping, area residents will desire access to groceries and convenience goods, pharmaceutical services, and a range of services such as fitness gym, dry cleaner/laundry, tax & accounting service, hairstyling, etc.
