Eric Holgate, CEO of Duramed on 15th Street in Augusta, told Buzz founder Neil Gordon that the deal is done in Evans. He has agreed to build-out space in the Evans Town Center on North Belair Road on the opposite side of the YMCA of Evans and near Serenity Day Spa and many medical facilities like a pain management practice and a Rehabilitation center as well.

“Twenty-five percent of my pharmacy and durable medical equipment sales come from Columbia County, and we believe there are a number of potential clients from there that we will attract because of the new location,” said Holgate. The plan is for him to hire two full-time employees, along with part-timers. The opening date is set for December, prior to Christmas.

The Evans location will be a “custom pharmacy” in which Duramed will do medical compounding, hormone replacement therapy, and pain gels.

The long-time 15th Street location will remain in place and provide traditional pharmacy services, along with a boutique, and durable medical equipment like seat lift chairs. DuraMed has been serving the CSRA with home medical equipment, supply needs, and specialty pharmaceutical compounds since 1984.
