Here’s What You Need to Know About Leadership Columbia County
The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for Leadership Columbia County, a 10-month program during which class members develop a high level of community awareness and involvement.
Leadership Columbia County is a program designed to expose business and area leaders to the opportunities and challenges that face the local community. Class members engage in day-long class sessions covering various topics such as law enforcement, healthcare, workforce and education, economic development and county history.
Applications for next year’s class can be found here. The deadline for those applications in April 19.
The chamber has also started accepting applications for its youth leadership program, which is essentially a junior version of Leadership Columbia County. Students in the program participate in team-building exercises, visit businesses and get an inside look at a variety of organizations throughout the county. Applications can be downloaded here and are due at the chamber offices at 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 29.
