Chamber Event Will Lay Groundwork for Augusta’s Tourism Identity
Last year, Augusta hosted 1.5 million visitors who spent more than $509 million.
The statistic begs the question: what does that amount of tourism dollars mean for the future of Augusta as a destination for visitors?
This month, at the Augusta Metro Chamber Women in Business luncheon on Nov. 21, the Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau and the Augusta Sports Council will explain just that.
Barry White, president and CEO of the Augusta Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Stacie Adkins, CEO of Augusta Sports Council, will present “Destination Augusta: Creating the ultimate tourism and lifestyle experience,” a presentation on upping the ante of Augusta’s “wow” factor.
The Women in Business luncheon, presented by Doctors Hospital, will be held at the Legends Club on Nov. 21 at 11:30 am.
