Columbia County Chamber Event Unites Business and Legislation

October 24, 2017|

Businesses and legislation intersect more than some people think.

That’s one reason why the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is hosting a pre-legislative breakfast on Thursday, Nov. 2, 7:30 – 9:00 a.m., at the Savannah Rapids Pavilion to discuss that intersection.

Former state representative and political strategist Ben Harbin will speak at the event, focusing particularly on how businesses can become part of the legislative process.

The chamber will also share its legislative priorities for 2018 and ask questions to state delegates about the committees they serve on. The delegation includes State Senators Jesse Stone and Lee Anderson and State Representatives Tom McCall, Barry Fleming, Jodi Lott and Mark Newton.

Attendance for the event will cost $20 for chamber members and $40 for non-members.

The Columbia County Chamber of Commerce is located at 1000 Business Boulevard in Evans.
