Georgia Goodwills Win Top Honor for 4th Consecutive Year
Goodwills in Georgia keep stepping up their game.
The nonprofit organization’s Middle Georgia branch received a prestigious award for its mission support at Goodwill International’s 2017 summer conference.
Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia has received this honor every year since 2014 for its cost-efficiency that returns the greatest share of revenue from retail sales of donated goods to fund Goodwill’s job training, education and career development.
“Goodwill’s obligation to its generous donors and shoppers is to efficiently manage our enterprise to ensure adequate revenues are available to serve those in the community seeking career opportunities,” said James K. Stiff, President of Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA.
In the past five years, Goodwill Industries of Middle Georgia and the CSRA has provided career and education services to more than 107,000 individuals, helping place nearly 28,000 people into employment.
“Our retail management and staff have consistently operated our retail training stores and donation centers with pride, knowing that their efforts fuel Goodwill’s life-changing work in our Job Connection career centers and Helms College,” Stiff said.
