Atlanta Breakfast Favorite is Coming to the CSRA
When The Flying Biscuit first opened on the east side of Atlanta in 1993, the restaurant supposedly sold out of its signature biscuits by 11 a.m.
We’ll see if breakfast lovers in the CSRA create a similar dilemma this fall. That’s when the Atlanta-based breakfast destination is reportedly opening a location in The Market at Riverwood in Evans, according to a public relations representative for The Flying Biscuit and CSRA real estate company Blanchard and Calhoun, the tenant representative. Meybohm Realtors represented the shopping center in the transaction.
The restaurant is expected to open in late November.
Augusta is a new city for The Flying Biscuit; all of the restaurant’s current Georgia locations are in Atlanta and surrounding areas. The chain has also expanded into North Carolina, Florida and Texas. It plans to open the Evans restaurant this fall.
The Flying Biscuit won’t be the only new kid in Riverwood; The Market at Riverwood is about to get an array of food and retail in the coming months. Rooted Coffeehouse, Ocean Nails and Spa, Chinese counter-serve eatery Top China and Papa Johns are reportedly moving into the area as well.
Also expanding into Evans is yet another Georgia-based company: Honeybaked Ham. The new location will be opening in November at Mullins Crossing. It will be Honeybaked Ham’s fifth restaurant in the CSRA.
