Time Frame Given For The Expansion of 2 Downtown Augusta Businesses
KAMO is moving one door closer to the heart of downtown Augusta and the move will take place sometime in the first half of 2018..
Harris and Jack Weinstein announced that they have purchased the Weeks Transmission land and building at the corner of 13th and Reynolds Street.
KAMO’S buildings come up to the back of the Weeks service bays.
“We will be expanding our warehouse to the new property to better handle the growth we have seen in the past few years and to prepare for the growth in our future, “says Harris Weinstein. “It will allow us to purchase more efficiently and to increase our stock considerably in the very near future and reduce the cost for our customers,” he added.
KAMO provides janitorial supplies and sustainable, green-clean solutions for many schools, churches, municipalities, restaurants and companies mostly in the Georgia-Carolina area.
Part of the reason for expansion is KAMO’s entry into the office supply and furniture business to go along with the core of their business.
Weeks transmission will be building a state of the art facility on the 1400 block of Broad Street that they say will be easier to access for customers. Groundbreaking will take place soon and it is expected to take 8-12 months to complete.
