New Jersey Mike’s to open Feb. 8 outside of Ft. Gordon
The new Jersey Mike’s outside of Ft. Gordon’s Gate One on Madeline Dr. will hold a grand opening from Wednesday Feb. 8 through Sunday Feb. 12, with a free sub fundraiser to support the Southeastern Firefighter Burn Foundation. There have been 7,500 coupons circulating in the community for a free regular sub, for a minimum $2 donation to the SFBF. Customers must have a coupon to be eligible. Since 2010, Jersey Mike’s has raised nearly eighteen million for local charities and have distributed more than one point five million free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
“SFBF does so much for burn victims and their families who are staying in this area and being treated at one of the largest burn centers in the country, Joseph M. Still Burn Center [at Doctor’s Hospital],” franchise owner Eric Clark said in a statement.
A few other Jersey Mike’s locations have opened in the CSRA in recent years including Furys Ferry Road, Washington Road and Flowing Wells Road. Started in 1956, Jersey Mike’s now has fifteen hundred restaurants that are either open or under development. Jersey Mike’s was even named the number one fastest growing chain in the Nation’s Restaurant News Top 100, for the third year in a row in 2016.
