February Economic Impact

The Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Augusta Sports Council announced its estimated economic impact.

An estimated economic impact of $650, 000 will be generated by attending meetings, reunions, and sporting events in the Augusta River Region. Augusta University’s Half Marathon, 10K and 5K will generate the most amount of economic impact at over $216,000, followed by the Diocese of Savannah Youth Conference at over $213,000.

These are both groups that have worked with the Augusta Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Augusta Sports Council in either the site selection or planning phase.
