Businesses Will Help Each Other in Marketing Academy

Powerful unionRunning a small business can be a little easier with some help from your friends.

The Small Business Marketing Academy – sponsored by the Augusta Metro Chamber of Commerce – is taking applications now for its next class, starting, July 27. The class brings together 25 business owners who have been in business for at least two years and have 25 or fewer employees.

During the course, which meets for a full day once a month for six months, participants will learn business basics and share and plan with other business owners. The classes will include learning from local industry experts and roundtable discussions of practical advice and best practices.

Topics include branding basics, marketing plans, media and advertising, marketing through technology, reaching the Millennial generation and creating a business plan. The goal is to have each participant leave the program with a customized marketing plan and the help of an assigned mentor.
