Academy Sports + Outdoors’ new Aiken store donates $100 shopping sprees to 30 youth from City of Aiken Police Athletic League

Academy Sports + Outdoors kicks off the opening of its seventh South Carolina store on 321 Fabian Drive in Aiken. It is also the 2nd CSRA store. The other is in Evans across from Mullins Crossing. The Aiken store will bring over 125 new jobs to the area. They will donate $100 Academy gift cards to 30 deserving Aiken youth and let them shop for anything in the store the day before it opens.

The new store features over 62,000 square feet of footwear, apparel, sports and leisure products plus quality hunting, fishing and camping equipment at everyday low prices.

Youth Shopping Sprees

Store Director Ken Fehrenbach and his staff will cut their ceremonial ribbon prior to inviting 30 youth from the Aiken area to shop during a private youth give-back event and be the first customers of the store. Academy Sports + Outdoors will donate $100 Academy gift cards to each child as well as provide a personal shopping assistant.
