The Carpet Place has not closed. They have moved to a smaller warehouse/showroom location in Grovetown. Their phone number has not changed either. They can be contacted at 706-869-9224. So if you need floor covering, please call their office number and someone will arrange to meet you at the warehouse/showroom to help you. They also were forced to relocate due to the high rental cost of the building on Washington Rd that is owned by Furniture Rentals. I understand that several tenants have been forced to relocate or close business from that location because of high rent. The location appears to be great at first glance, but once you are in the building and have spent thousands of dollars to renovate and establish a great showroom, you find out that the foot traffic is not so great. You are right. Unless you are specifically looking for that business, you will pass right by the building and never notice it. Please spread the word that The Carpet Place is still open and working.
