Quantum Fitness Augusta will operate a facility previously known as Omni Health and Fitness, 4408 Evans to Locks Road #G, Evans, GA.  “Quantum Fitness will provide a more robust approach to helping area families become and stay fit,” Greg Kirby, partner in the firm.  “one of our programs is to link fitness to academic achievement for teenagers.”

Plans are to eventually expand the concept, offering more services that fit the community needs and possibly adding other locations in the CSRA.  Quantum Fitness will expand the staff to maintain a balance of members to staff ratio so each person is served properly.

“We are a fully service facility,” comments Chip Pelasky, Managing Partner, “this means our members and guests will have a voice in the programs offered and we will be continually upgrading to meet and exceed their needs.”

  1. I wish I could say that I am surprised a complete makeover was necessary for Omni (Now Quantum Fitness) to survive. I worked there a couple very rough months. Anywhere from poor advice given by trainers,a lack of professionalism in client record keeping to trickery and fraud to sexual harassment took place on an everyday basis. They hire a bunch of used car salesmen to put on a monkey suit and wave shuttle you around for a tour then talk you into to selling your soul to them. The whole operation is crooked and all I can say is READ THE CONTRACTS and don’t sign ANYTHING until you DO! Nothing has changed….only the name. The GM was fired for reasons obvious to all that has had the disservice of encountering him but the club is still run the same from what I hear….and believe me….I HEAR a LOT from a LOT of people that still work and workout there as well as people that have signed up recently. Just because one name gets run into the ground by a self-inflicted down right AWFUL reputation doesn’t mean a new name and new colored uniforms changes the structure of the company. The problem always begins at the top and we all know what runs “downstream”. I am so tired of hearing how many people get ripped off there. That is why I started an honest, small, private training business in Evans, GA. The people were being ripped off because they didn’t have many options. I hope that upper management has changed dramatically. Otherwise, it is only a matter of time until “Quantum” goes down like the Titanic as well. Nobody is fooled by the name change fyi. The putrid reputation for Omni lingers on even in it’s death.

    • Thank you for your comments.
We feel it is always best to allow new ownership to survey new members and to make necessary changes to improve their experience.

  2. I and my family of 5 have been a member(omni) since January 2001, well over 10 years now. We know a whole lot of people that workout there. Some have quit, some have not. We are still there.

Of course, we were a bit surprised at the name change and heard a bit about certain things mentioned by Skeletonzin above. I am sure they are true.

We are still loyal members but DO NOT LIKE HIGH PRESSURE OR THE RUNAROUND WHEN ASKING QUESTIONS ABOUT PRICES ON THINGS(TRAINERS, ETC) OR NEW MEMBERSHIPS.

I MEAN COME ON GUYS, DONT TRY TO RIP OFF OR SCAM PEOPLE. WE ARE A HELL OF A LOT SMARTER THAN YOU THINK……AND GUESS WHAT ELSE…….WE MEMBERS TALK AMONG OURSELVES AND OUTSIDE THE FACILITY………..

SO……IF YOU ARE A DISHONEST BUSINESS………YOU WILL GO DOWN LIKE HE SAID ………IT MAY TAKE A WHILE BUT YOU WILL. ………..

REMEMBER YOUR CLIENTS…….WE ARE DOCTORS, LAWYERS, BUSINESSMEN, AND OTHER PROFESSIONALS WORKING OUT THERE.

YOU CAN MAYBE FOOL US ONCE…………BUT NOT TWICE……AND WE ARE A WHOLE LOT BIGGER IN NUMBERS THAN YOU CAN IMAGINE……

SO WITH THAT SAID………….GOOD LUCK…………QUANTUM FITNESS……..AND I HOPE YOU ARE AN HONEST BUSINESS….

REMEMBER…..DONT GET SO COCKY IN YOUR NEW FOUND BUSINESS THAT YOU SCREW IT UP BY FRAUD OR DISHONESTY TO MEMBERS.

    WE WILL RETALIATE…………………..GOOD LUCK………SERIOUSLY…………..TB

  3. I was a member “under contract-did not have a choice” of omni for 2 years. Their “reputation” of dishonesty, terrible customer service, used car salesman mentality was well deserved. Once you join, they could have cared less about their members. It was a sales pitch from the second you walked in the door and once you signed the contract, the customer service was done!

If you have not tried it, go the the Family Y in Evans. There are no contracts, great customer service from people who really care about you. Their kids area is second to none and it does not costs extra. Come join me and all of the former Omni members at the Y!
